Louis and Laura met in San Francisco, California in May of 2015 when Laura moved to the city from Connecticut. Within a few weeks of Laura's arrival, the meet-cute happened stereotypically in the yoga class of their apartment building. Louis knew right when he saw Laura that she was his ideal partner... for acroyoga!
It wasn't until 9 months of acroyoga later that chemistry suggested that there was more to the story. Equipped with a partnership founded in communication and respect, Louis and Laura took the plunge together and explored more.
Things continued to develop at a good clip throughout 2016. Louis taught Laura acro, sous vide cooking and how delicious challah is. Laura taught Louis how to dance the night away, take a selfie and recycle bed bath & beyond coupons.
The summer of 2016 rolled by and more bonding ensued.
In October, Louis, Laura and Laura's chinchillas, Cheska & Sophie, all moved in together to a new apartment in the city.
There's much to celebrate by the holiday season of 2016! Laura joins Louis in visiting his parents in Florida and indulging in some newfound traditions.
In May 2017 Louis made the big trip to a small(ish) town, coming back with Laura to Indiana to see her roots. Louis loved all the basements and chocolate! The midwest isn't so bad :)
Another year turned the corner in 2018 and with it, a new round of February celebrations (2x birthdays, Valentine's Day and dating anniversary), things were feeling really good!
By April 2018 not even Laura could find something wrong with the relationship! It was time to put a ring on it and lock in those gains.
A proposal scheme was hatched! Poor Louis was to be subjected to another photoshoot but also with the promise of a surprise. And what a surprise it was! Laura popped the question with a twine knot and Louis didn't hesitate with a resounding "yes!".
And that is the story of Louis and Laura... or at least the beginning of the story!
